Obituary
Carolyn Good Dixon, age 60, was called home by God on January 6, 2007 after years of fighting the rare disease amyloidosis.
A resident of Chantilly, Virginia, she graduated from Vanderbilt University and Northern Virginia Community College. For most of her career, she worked as an RN caring for women hospitalized with high risk pregnancies. More recently she volunteered for Capital Hospice. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, Bright Pond Bible Study, the Amyloid Support Network, and the Greenbriar Bridge Players.
She is survived by her husband John Dixon; her children Andrew C. Johnson (Yumiko), of Sapporo, Japan, and Bethany Joy Dixon; her brother Robert O. Good (Janis) of Dallas Texas; her cousin Sara Ousey (Steve) of Plano, Texas; her aunt Helen Cody, and her cousin Mary Gibson, both of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; her sister-in-law Ann Dixon of Farmington, Michigan; her stepchildren Bruce (Janet) Dixon, Katherine (David) Dixon-Peugh, and Quentin (Ewe Leng) Dixon- Lim; and her grandchildren Benjamin Dixon, Quinlin Dixon-Lim, and Juren Taizou Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Fellowship Church, 25350 Poland Road, South Riding, Virginia, when family living out of the area can be present. Instead of flowers, donations to the Grace Fellowship Church, Amyloidosis Support Network (www.amyloidosis.org), or Capital Hospice (www.capitalhospice.org) will be gratefully appreciated.
